A recently created 100-acre country park alongside Great Notley Garden Village on the outskirts of Braintree. Its main attractions are its cafŽ and extensive play areas, but it also has two lakes, several copses planted on top of earth mounds, and meadows sown with wild flowers.
It supports many of the commoner bird species, and skylarks and reed buntings have moved in also.
Visiting
On the A131 a short way south of its junction with the A120, 2 miles south-west of Braintree.
Nearest rail station is Braintree. Buses run via the station to Great Notley, from where it is a 15-minute walk.
